The freeware program called Ccleaner not individual cleans but there is also another button to fix "issues" surrounded by the registry (though people normally don't realise that this well specified cleaner also has a registry fix feature)

i don't understand, do you want to poke about for missing files for windows xp online, resembling missing dll's?
Go to Windows Live OneCare,look for the safety scanner. lt does that, scan repairs, and a lot more if you want it to.
You'll find it tricky to believe, but it's free. Microsoft giving some thing excellent away for free. Don't travel for anything higher than the scan and verbs though. lf you go for the unharmed deal it still have bugs.
