0800 numbers?

Question:
we keep getting phone call from 0800 3160492 and we have be told not to phone it back as you bring back charged about lb5.00 a minute does anyone else know of this

Answers:
the 0800 number is coming from Europe, most imagined Germany. I currently live here in Germany and to be precise the toll free number in this country. If you give the name it stateside (which I am assuming you live in the United States) it is going to cost you profusely per minute and it wont be free. I know when I call a regular 1800 number to the U.S. it charges me full price. Be alert when you call freshly in baggage the charges are too much.
As far as I know 0800 numbers are freephone numbers so you shouldn't get charged
0800 numbers are free to call upon
Phone your telephone service and ask for suggestion on this. Tell them what we have said that they are free numbers and tolerate them state a reason why you're man charged for it.

lb5.00 a min is a lot of money and sounds approaching a scam!

If it true that it's happening report it to examine dog or something. Sory to hear about that! :(
phone ur provider and ask to be placed near the telephone preferance service, its free and cuts out 99% of unwanted/unsolicited call
when i check on the www.saynoto0870.com website the number isnt matching anything on here record which is outlandish, best option ring the number from a phonebox that channel you really will find out if its free and who it is!
If a number starts with 0800 consequently it is definitely free to phone call off a home line phone, beware of calling from a mobile though!!
are you sure that it is 0880 not 0802 . 02 is a chargeable number 0800 are free unless you ring from a mobile
Leg it to a BT phone-box and call the number for free, afterwards if you want to abuse the character at the other end you can and cant be traced (unless you make available details of yourself). A Most satisfactory conclusion I say aloud!!
You should tell your phone company give or take a few this.
Seeing as you put the cost of the call surrounded by lb's per minute it gives away the certainty that you are in the UK!!!
I would telephone 0800 800 151. This is BT's customer line. Report this to them and they will try to sort it out. Unfortunately I hold a problem with ringing this number as it appears to be surrounded by India and I have to hold on to asking them to repeat themselves because they talk too with alacrity! Then they think I am self stupid and just lift their voices fairly than slow down!
