A nice stylish clock that doesn't tick?
Question: Can any one help. Im trying to buy a nice clock that doesn't tick. I know the answer is a digital one, though they are adjectives large bureau looking things and I need it to be stylish for my psychiatric help room. I do clinical aromatherapy , etc and that's why it needs to not tick. I know I could buy a small nurse type one that pins to my uniform, but i.e. no use as i wouldn't be able to see something so small minus my glasses and I don't wear them to do therapy. Has anyone got any suggestions please.
Answers:
Seiko make a line of clocks they ring "QuietSweep". Their movements are designed not to tick. But some can be a bit pricey I think. If I stumble on something else, I'll try to update.
Here's a website where on earth you can view some of what Seiko have to offer. Please details I am not affiliated with this website nor do I conspicuously recommend it. It always pays to shop around.

UPDATE: If you're looking for something more trendy and are willing to "buy a pig surrounded by a poke", you can go to e-Bay and scrabble for "vintage wall clock" or "kitchen wall clock". Specifically you need to look for elder clocks which cords that plugged into a wall outlet. That sort of clock didn't usuallly tick. Although the motors and gears in some created a soft hum that shouldn't be too obtrusive.
Take the second appendage out of the clock and this should stop the ticking sound...
I do hope it 'tocks' !
