A cross-examine around HD formats?
Question: I have a deep-seated understanding around the different formats of HD, ie that 1080i is an interlaced picture, with 1080p individual the best? My question is, if a TV is timetabled as having a peak resolution of, for example, 1024x768 what HD format is the screen gifted of displaying?
Answers:
great question
for 1080p, u must own a tv that can display (1920x1080) only lcd and flipside projection tv's can do that.
for 1080i, u must have a tv that can display at lowest (1280x720)
yes i know some tv's with 1024x768, vote they are HD, but this isnt true. They cut out some pixels, to display the image.
For the best picture talent, go beside a TV that native resoution is any 1080i or 1080p (1280x720 or 1920x1080)
A 1024x768 screen would technically be capable of display a 4:3 720p picture without losing any of the pixels but this is dependent on the technology inside the box. It's possible that it could only render up to 480p or even only 480i standard analog NTSC TV. You cannot tell from the amount of pixels alone whether it can do progressive scan or not, any. Here's a diagram showing each standard HD format:

1080p is the up-to-the-minute full high def tv . 720p/1080i is awesome too
Its not lately down to the pixel count you need to see tv specs and be paid sure that it can cope with adjectives formats also think what are you connecting that will provide you 1080p etc..baz..
look on the box it came contained by and look before you buy
