Does regular cardio alone speed up your metabolism?
Question: I've been doing roughly 15-20 minutes of running at my target heart rate every other day for roughly 2 weeks. I've also been consumption well, and my errand requires constant lifting.
Does the cardio alone speed up my metabolism a significant ammount?
*I did start this regime because my blood pressure rose to a "high moderate" plane. It used to always be a bit low. Ever since I started this program, my blood pressure have steadily improved. ---> Doesn't hold to do with the query directly, but it's just interesting that it help so much so fast.

Yes it does speed it up. Increasing lean muscle mass by strength training burns calories for a longer time of time. Cardio also uses large amounts of glycogen (which turns to overweight if not used within our system). When you do cardio for 30 minutes or more your body also recognizes that you requirement more glycogen storage and increases your glycogen storage capacity to store it for adjectives use instead of it turning to fat.
You hold made an excellent health choice. This horizontal of exercises is ideal to aver good form. It lowers BP, reduces diabetic risk and is right for your heart. It won't alter your metabolism as such.
2 weeks is good, BUT, post confirmation on 'Answers' contained by 2 years AND in 20 years if you want to gain real benefit!
