****Importing gas hobs from china to go within the uk.. what qualification is needed ie ce rohs etc**?
Question: Hi all im bringing over some gas hobs from china my supplier tell me they have ce cert for the hobs..and thats adjectives i need to trade them in the uk...im modern to all this...they are also selling hoods which own rohs and ce...so my question is do i want rohs or any other cert to sell contained by the uk my gas hobs, never imported in the past new and trying to set something up so any assist would be great...Thanx to all that serve

Beware of any CE marking that have been applied outside the EU it may not be worth the rag it is written on. As responsible for first import into the European Union it will be you who will be prosecuted and not your supplier. If a CE fleck is applied there should be a scientific file that refers to adjectives the EU homogenised standards. If you are not an expert yourself you should really get a consultant to dance over it and check it meets them. I be nearly caught out by a belgian supplier who basically purely put some stickers on an item and I had to create up the technical profile myself because he went bust.
