As stated within the previous answers, first class recorded confinement will NOT guarantee your card getting to its destination the next daylight. The last postal date before Christmas own already expired. Advice given to you in the Post bureau IS useful and is the most accurate. Postmen and Postwomen will do their utmost to gain the mail out as soon as possible. However, sometimes their workload can breed it difficult to get the e-mail to you a.s.a.p. particularly over the busy Christmas spell.
The only road that you are going to get your cards to obtain to their destination is to send them by SPECIAL DELIVERY! However, it will be to some extent expensive. If you go to the post department tomorrow and have them sent by special conferral, It will cost approximately lb4.10 per card. And because it is Friday tomorrow, you will need to wages an extra lb2. for a Saturday guarantee...lb6.10. It would also depend on the size and weight of your card, the bigger and heavier it is, the more expensive. Would your friends really mind if they return with their cards a little after Christmas? If they are true friends and you apologise within the card, then it will be ok. I to be sure wouldnt mind if I received a late card from a friend.better behind schedule than never. Have a great Christmas and a happy unusual year! :o) x
The last date for 1st class post be 2 days ago.
Yes the 19 was the ending post date
you might still make it though...
they 'guarantee' christmas transfer if you'd posted a couple of days ago, but you might get lucky...
You are too unpaid for first class and second class. You could try, and you might be lucky, but no promises.
Your only guarantee is to purloin them to the post office tomorrow and distribute them by FIRST CLASS RECORDED DELIVERY. It should cost about 70p per card.
The receiver might think it for a while odd have to sign for a christmas card, though ;-)
Happy Christmas to you too.
Hi, just to tolerate you know i attempted to send something by first class & record and the women told me that there be no guarantee that it would get nearby for christmas, but if i sent it by special delivery later theres about a 90% arbitrariness of it getting there by christmas (was nearly lb5 so would be a bit expensive for a christmas card!!)
Just send them anyway.better slow than never! And its the thought that counts!
Merry christma!
well they other say that you're supposed to hold both second class and first class cards posted by now, but i only recieved a card today that was posted yesterday, so i don't assume the advice from the post department is always thoughtful
They should reach here destination by next Christmas (2007)
