Use a catapult
you could spray your car beside a very smelly but smoothly washable substance to ward it off.
you can buy a spray call Get Off from B&Q - I have used it to keep hold of cats off my conservatory roof and it doesn't appear to hold damaged the roof. Can be used on furniture etc so I am sure it would be ok on a coupé. Failing that, a big water pistol...
Put titbits on your neighbours cars. This is not a smart comment. If you're predisposed to do it, it works.
They do that. If yours didn't someone else's would. Car cover or be prepared to wipe the paw marks sour. (Don't you think the kitty results look kind of cool though?)
Get a hose down pistol - not a high powered one - and hand over him a squirt with it. It won't hurt him but a couple of times of that and he'll soon grasp the message! It's not cruel, I'd prefer someone to do that to my cat than throw things at her or something.
Destroy the cat. no jokin erm just consent to the cat enjoy. its not gonna trash the car or anythin is it.?
slices of lemon around your vehicle, put them on plastic bags so it doesnt stain your saloon. if that fails, buy a dog, or a mega uber departure ray for the side of your coupé. if that fails, whenever you see the cat on your coupé, just throw marine on it, or squirt it with a hose pipe/ super soaker
Sux human being you. If you catch it they will charge a duty to turn it in. When I be in the military the dais cops loaned me a cage trap. I put some chicken bones contained by it and caught it but then I be stuck with it meowing cuz it be pissed to be in at hand. I won't mention how I got rid of it but it solved the problem. LOL
A sports car cover.
you wash your motor at about 8:00 and when you run to bed go to sleep and the cat will not i repeat will not travel near your coupé because the cat will be afraid of the water ok and will not move about near your saloon
so clean your sports car {if you want to } and the cat will not go implicit your car
and you are probobly thinking what roughly the next daylight all you hold to do there is put a terrify crow out near your sports car or buy a car cover i know its a nouns of bother but thats the way energy is im sorry ok.
from your very dutiful pall alex.
A plastic or rubber snake on the hood of the car will preserve cats off. You can find one where on earth they sell toys, science or fishing supplies. It works great!
I would suggest a motor cover unless you can find out whose cat it is. If you can tell the owner and tolerate him take carefulness of the cat and the damages to the car..
Hi
There is a few things to try.
Like soaking the sports car or washing it up to that time going to bed.
Some crueler people will put 220Volt ac between the cars body and the ground ...
Or build a 17Hz flasher and connect it also between globe and the cars body... cat will get one shock and never ever return to the crime-scene...
sounds nutty but it works.sprickle a little ground peper over the front and reverse bumpers
Airifel, if that doesnt work speak to cat owner - my friend had similar situation spoke to neighbour who sorted it out. She ring the neighbours up at 3am every morning until it stopped.
You can spray the cat with a garden hose. Cats despise water sprayed at them. It will swot quickly to stay past its sell-by date of your car.
Also a squirt bottle works powerfully. Just twist the panama, so you get a moral stream instead of a mist.
We are having this problem, too, but instead of a cat it is a marten. This is really bleak because martens like to chew on the electrical system and cables beneath the hood. It would be cool if you could somehow make the sports car battery afford an electric shock to anything that touches the car. Just a short time shock, nothing killer or painful.
put a elevated frequency noise inventor sensetive to movement the cost about lb3.50 surrounded by UK
or $5.30 without rates in USA
My friend have the same problem and she bought this entry that you stck on the wall and it makes continuous lofty pitched bleeping noises that simply cats can hear, that solved her problem, plus she has stones on her garden so it works to stop the cats pooping on them! sorry I couldnt be more loyal.
Also try Jenni C's suggestion (because my cats hate citrus too!)
We put a sprinkle of pepper and/or vinigar it works! the cats antipathy the smell
well cats dislike intensely citrus smells (well mine does anyway!) so maybe try sqirting some lemon liquid over afew parts of the outside of your car. This mode that you don't have to sit at your skylight 24 hours a day craddling a dampen spray waiting for the cat to come coz it will work even when you're not there! It will also administer your car a nice fresh lemony smell :p
What do you parsimonious start comments, like start the vehicle, that's a good thought.
Here are some options:
- drizzling down your car at dark
-if you see the cat, spray him
- buy some cat repellent (sold at pet stores) and spray it on your bumpers, or just use some ground pepper.
Use a sports car alarm that would keep the cat away. If you can't afford that later get a tarp or sports car cover to protect your precious car.
What do you do when a bird poops on it?
find a very sensitive motor alarm that will get it stale
The quick answer is that sports car duco - if its in partially decent condition - is extremely unyielding (its baked for at least partially an hour at over 300o since it has to withstand road gravel hitting it etc). And cats claws are one and the same hardness as our fingernails. So unless you can scrape off the paint next to your fingernail, there is *no way* a cat can cut into the *paint* of the surface of a car that's surrounded by a fairly angelic condition. (Paint does weather though and if its in a really unpromising state, it can be scratched, but if its that bad it should be a funny colour of white and be within the junk yard).
However, if the saloon has be *waxed*, the cat's claws (and your fingernails) can remove some of the wax, leaving what looks like scratches contained by the paint, but are in reality just places where on earth the surface of the wax has be removed. But then again a cat freshly walking across a car doesn't *use* claws, so the individual way that the cat could scrape the car is if it be trying to somehow get traction on the surface, by any falling off or (dare I say) running for its go.
The worst a cat can do to in commonplace circumstances is leave cute little muddy cat prints - annoying but not inherently unsafe.
