12 Month Bullmastif will NOT stop going to the toilet contained by the house despite ALL hard work!!?
Question: I have a 12 month infirm bullmastiff who despite all measures to stop, she will of late not learn. She sleeps surrounded by the kitchen and almost EVERY morning I will wake up to something or BOTH. I will do the awfully basic things similar to rub her nose within it when she does (and she knows 'cause she "sulks") and supply her treats when she does it outside. But I am clean out of planning, this is urgent as I have a toddler on the way and logically faeces on the floor is NOT a good point, I don't want to get rid of her but own flesh and blood comes first, so this is my last resort. She will now and then do it in front of us (unless shes desperate I guess) she go through a phase of not doing anything for like 3-4 days but next done a complete 180 and started again. Please Help Me!

You need to crate her. Let her know that if she can't hold it, she have to sleep where she will. And after in a couple weeks, contribute her the kitchen and if she goes again, put her backbone in for a dark. Until it works...they need a crate that they sleep surrounded by because she wont want to sleep with her own messes. That is why they swot up to hold it throughout the night.
Try kennel training!! Go buy a significant vari kennel, when it is bed time or you are going to be gone put the dog in the kennel. when you pinch the dog out it is right outside!! If the dog goes contained by the house show him the spot punish him, then whip him outside and when you bring him back within put him in the kennel for a partly hour!! You have to keep hold of up on this!! It works every time!! I aways use this to train out puppies!! After a while you will be able to procure rid of the kennel!!

Don't rub her face within it. Just be really consistent in getting her out. You could try taking her out surrounded by the middle of the night. Take her for a long amble also before you move about to bed.
have u tried to spank her and after put her out side if that doesnt work try using a very show voice thats what i had to do beside my boyfreinds dog chain her up out side until she learn if she dont learn after leave her out side u shouldnt hold to get rid of her possibly she come to her sences

It seems similar to you are saying she does this at darkness. Take food and water away from her completely in the order of 2 to 3 hours before you walk to bed. And take her out as you are on your approach to bed and let her out for going on for 10 minutes so she can do her business. This should help save crate her at night when she have the problem with potting within the house. Also clean up her mess beside bleach water solution.
Rubbing her antenna in it does no apposite what so ever and may even make her afraid to jump thus doing it while you are away or trying to hide it. I suggest instead of giving her the entire ktchen at darkness,go support to a crate. She will not go surrounded by the crate as llng as she is in it and can physically hold it. You call for to put her on a schedule and possibly feed and wet earlier contained by the evening. Take her out and lavishly praise and treat when she does jump outside. There is no use in punishing after the reality. If catch her contained by midstream or poo calmly switch her outside and praise her for finishing outside. It takes persistance and consistency on your subdivision. She will eventually get the hang up of it. On a side note, if the babe-in-arms doesn't get toilet training at the double,will you rehome it too? After all,this dog is also a module of the family.

one article i find with pets is if you use shake and vac on the floor or frebreeze, at hand is something in the shake and vac that encourage animals to wee on that particular nouns - i do know they use something similar to shake an vac in cat litter to stash the smell - which is why cats wee on the floor - but as ur dog has never used a litter tray i dont suppose this is the problem - but u could try it - also - nurture the dog at regular times every day - procure him into a routine - at 5 oclock he has his ending drink and meal and at 6.30 he go out for a walk - sometimes its us humans that stipulation the training - i hope this is of help
I own 2 Beagles, one from a pup, and it took him a good 2 years to be capable of go through the hours of darkness. You need to trade name sure you restrict her water intake for a couple of hours past bedtime. Try and get her into a routime in relation to no 2's, so she won't need that during the darkness. My dogs always want to walk first thing contained by the morning, and not long after they have eat - I feed them once a daylight. I have them sleeping contained by the bedroom, partly because of this problem. A bit close to a baby, I would here them 'mooching' around, and get up and put them out. Didn't do alot for my sleep, but worked contained by the end. Eventually they stop mooching. The eldest dog can progress to bed at 9.30, and still not want to go 2 hours after we've get up - he can hold it better than I can !!
mastiff's are interesting but for god sake dont hit or spank a mastiff. any one that knows anything more or less mastiffs will tell you that. it will variety them mean. and imply towards you and every one else. now dictum that mastiff's have 2 problems one within not the brightest star in the sky.
you involve to be very paitent near them they will learn but in attendance like a speacial requests child it takes love and time. not anger and pushiness.
second mastiff's catch lazy they would to some extent crap on the floor then verbs about getting you to consent to them out. you need to spawn a game out of going out to potty. so the deliberate it is fun and want to do this.
fianally no food after 6 pm. period excluding god puupy you want out side treats. try to stop drinking aswell. if she is really thirsty she will let you know next only administer her only what she wants.

I hate to say aloud it, but this is why crate training is so wonderful, when done properly. Owners who do crate training properly from day one (8 wk matured pup) generally don't hold problems like this, and if they do, next they have something to jump down back on.
To metaphorical, crate training is simply a routine. Crate time equals rest time...like how crib time for a child equals rest time. The routine should go similar to this: crate, outside to eliminate, play/feed/exercise/water, outside to destroy, play/exercise, crate...and so on. The routine changes during "human" sleep time, though. You verbs the play/eat/drink/exercise during these times.
Could you introduce the crate now? It might be tramatic for you and the dog, but worth it after adjectives the work and patience. I STRONGLY suggest that you consult beside a dog trainer...immediately. Remember to also discuss how to properly correct your pup.

She doesn't put the location together with her elimination--she lone knows you're foolish that she eliminated, or barmy at her in general--not what you want. She "sulks" to show you she is lower than you and that you are indeed the boss. (Also, distrustful reinforcement is much harder to use effectively for training than praise, some say impossible, and can sabotage the bond you are forming with her.) Because you've done this surrounded by the past, it may help yourself to a while for her to be comfortable doing it in front of you surrounded by the yard, but be forgiving. Dogs generally do not close to to "go" in their living space (your house), but do so if they haven't a choice (like within the kitchen if she has to go). A vigorous full-grown dog her size can hold it for a pretty long time if necessary; however, try not to sign out her in the crate during the daytime for longer than 5 hours or so, and later on down the road, for more than 8-10 hours.
A word of tell: do not use the crated area for punishment, or she will not be comfortable contained by it and will stress when you put her there. She should high regard it as her denning area, a place to be safe and sound in. Good luck!!
If you hold a yard/garden before you move about to bed put him/her outside for 15-20 minutes.
if she goes to the toilet praise her and create a real fuss, hopefully after a few days she should revise that she has to step before you jump to bed and that she needs to cross her legs until you carry up.
Don't make a fuss if she does own an accident because next she will learn that she get attention for the wrong reason.
We own a nine month old bull mastif but we hold had no problems beside her (touch wood) and that is what we do. although we do hold a jack russel who is the same age but is taking slightly longer than her to revise.
Also if you fill a small plastic bottle ie (water bottle or a 1 pint milk bottle) beside a few barley beads or lentils after when they are noughty shake it hard subsequent to them and say no contained by a stern vioce. the uproar frightens them.
Crate train her. It will fix the problem. Get a crate that is purely big enough for her to stand, turn around and fib down in. Continue to nick her outside for potty braks as you have be doing, but any time you leave the house or are sleeping, she go in the crate. If you inroduce the crate as a nice comfy place to be (with some special toys and even treats at first) She will similar to going in the crate. It will be her "den" where on earth she feels nontoxic. Dogs won't go where on earth they sleep, so the crate will keep her from eliminate while she's in it. Make sure you provide lots of praise and attention when she goes outside. kind a HUGE deal out of it. If she does soil the create do not punnish her. even if she have an accident surrounded by the house, do not punnish her. If you happen to arrest her in the conduct yourself, make a loud yelp (it will suprise her and stop the stream) and filch her outside, and then praise praise praise when she does it surrounded by the right spot. some of the problem you may be having is that you are rubbing her muzzle in it. I made that mistake near our first dog before I know better and did some research. all that will educate her is to hide her "mess" from you. she will not get the drift that going in the house is not what you want, she will lately think you want it unnoticed, which sound close to what is happening. Once I figure out it was what I be doing with my first dog, and fixed the ways I be dealing with housebreaking, it go so much better. with my second dog (an english mastiff...so yes I work out how unpleasent horse size dropping can be :)) I did it right from the get step, and no problems what so ever. trust me, get a crate, use lone positive reinforcement, and abandon the rubbing her snout in it and punnishing for what you are finding fairly than correct what she is doing, and you should see some real improvements. look up crate training on the internet for more detail and a step by step process. Congrats on the babe-in-arms btw! and with some time and strange techniques, your dog and domestic will get along only fine!
