A Fish Question...Can Anyone Help??...?
Question: I am looking to buy a goldfish and my sister wants one too I fairly like the Black Moor fish, I be also looking at tropical but they seem more expensive to aid for so its just a goldfish for me. Can anyone contribute me some information on what Goldfish get on in good health together....

Godlfish will get along together only just fine so long as they are close in size. However, realize that respectively fish requires at LEAST 10 gallons of water. So if you own a 55 gallon...5 fish MAX. And be prepared for water change every week.

Well, I have alwas have goldfish and Koi.. Everytime you put in unknown fish with outdated they fight.. and the size...
One until that time, We had 5 goldfish and 2 koi.. later a year later, my mom bought a clean baby koi and they attach her and ate her.. I regard you shouldn't put new ones together so lone the ones at the same container in the shop.. or at smallest the same size..
Goldfish put out greatly of Amonia everyday so it is best to keep them freshly as a school of impossible to tell apart kind. I love my goldfish! I have bought them to feed a fundamentally large Oscar and they turned out too big for him so I moved them to another container and they have thrived. They are very soon about 5 inches long respectively and live with a Plicostomus who keep the tank floor verbs.
I have to redeploy the carbon filter twice as often as the other tank because of the amonia but they are worth it! These fish have more self-esteem than any fish I have owned! I own 3 tanks right very soon and one is a 55 gallon tank but they are my favorite.
I ring them my "golden retrievers" cause they achievement like big fluffy puppys when I nurture them.

Goldfish are a bit resembling the labradors of the fish world - they're friendly, communal, not all that territorial, don't make a contribution two figs about anything ... but are also slightly greedy!
As a very standard rule - other communcal fish tend to have their mouths obverse down or up. The aggressive ones - such as cichlids have 'forward' facing mouths.
So loaches (like the clown loach and coolie loaches), corries, placys, tetras are adjectives good tank-mates.
But gain a couple of goldfish as they do like to see around with respectively other. The same is the case near all the above fish types too!

You can get really colorful, community fish, and save alot of them at the same time. The goldfish are obedient, because they are happy to see you. Mine other comes to the front of the tank and get all smiling and stuff. Whichever way you establish to go, call in a Petco or Petsmart and talk to their fish individual about starting a reservoir. Its not a difficult thing to do, but if you've never kept fish beforehand, there is for a time bit of science to it. Youll kill smaller number fish if you do some research first. Good luck. Fish are pretty cool! Also, don't put goldfish with any tropical fish,they will devour them. My roommate put a goldfish in next to the neon tetras, and it ate them all. My goldfish lives next to a Spotted Dojo Loach, kind of approaching an eel about 6 inches long, revolting, but neat.

Goldfish are pretty hardy fish, they can live like 20 years or so given the proper conditions. They usually can live beside any fish thrive in indistinguishable temperatures and river environment that they do. In other words, cool water- nothing above 70-80 degree. Ph is also an issue, they need 7.2- 7.6. Ammonia is a foremost problem as well. This is why profoundly of fish die during the first 2 weeks in a brand hot tank because in that is not enough "beneficial bacteria" within the tank. Frequent hose down changes and be on the look-out for any change in wet quality such as cloudiness. Algae is not necessarily a doomed to failure thing but it you can't even see the fishes, afterwards you might want to buy some products that can get rid of algae.
The most big thing just about goldfish is that they need ALOT of space. They call for about 40 gallons per goldfish, despite what you see surrounded by the pet stores and in carnival.
Some fish that can live happily next to goldfish are Platys and some loaches. I personally love clown loaches- procure about 4 of them and you'll own hours of entertainment.

Goldfish are very docile, diplomatic fish. They do fine with any other quiet fish. The pet store should have their fish "rated" by aggression smooth. Most peaceful fish will live fine together, of late don't add semi-aggressive or aggressive fish to the mix.

I personally enjoy had both tropical and goldfish. I Love my goldfish! They own so much personality. Most different types of gold ingots fish get along all right with respectively other. You can ask the store that your getting them from (assuming your getting a store bought fish, i've had the rampant ones and their immune systems arent as strong) which would be the best suited for each other. Gold fish are also harty and tolerate ph change better than tropical fish. Just remember that they grow as big as the area their surrounded by and with how much food you make available them (I had to find tentative homes for my first two gold fish becuz they out grew my container!). If you want a social one, run your finger in front of the cup and see which fish follow it. Gold fish are cheaper that tropical and alot easier to care for
