4 MONTH OLD PUPPY whichis a minature poodle walk on her bum after shes done her poo why is this?
Question:
Answers:
its probably worms
She does it for two reasons, 1. she may hold an itch and thats the only opening she can scratch it, but take care it could be quite innocent or it could be becasue she have worms and thats why it's itching. 2. She can't exactly use toilet paper and sometimes she may inevitability to give her self a wipe. My 4 month dated pup does it now and again not everytime she go for a poo but she sometimes runs in the house and tries to do it on the runner, but she is a cheeky monkey.
There could be several reasons why she is doing this.
1) Trim the down around her bum as if she toilets and it gets stuck surrounded by the hair she is trying to win it off.
2) Worm her, if she have worms she will be itchy.
3) She may need her anal glands empty, full glands will make her humiliated and she is trying to relieve herself. Take her to your local dog groomer or vet and they will empty them for you, it is cheap and painless and will instantly fix the problem. Some dogs never requirement treating but poodles can be prone to this. She should have her anal glands empty at the groomers whenever she has a bath/clip.
the other function could well be that your dogs pooh pooh is not immense enough to release the pressure out of the 2 glands newly inside the anus, my dog occasionally suffers with it, pilfer her to the vet, and ask them to check her, it is a simple procedure for you to be taught(if you fancy doing it), i prefer to pay the vet going on for lb5-6 to do the job for me as it save me injuring the dog, and yes, i also dont like the thought of it, it happen probably twice a year, and then adjectives is o.k again.
again could be worms also, these imo are the 2 most likely things.
impacted anal glands or a worm problem, any way you stipulation to see a vet
