Question: getting a tonkinese kitten this week and want to get two for company,my husband think one on its own would be better.have two dogs and dont work so within house a lot.kittens will be neuter and will be housecats only.what do you reflect on?

Hope you are adopting! Many cats are available to adopt surrounded by sets. Some require adoption with their sibling because they do grow to be attached to one another. Kittens are more suggestible to getting used to other cats, once the cat grows up in a one cat home it may become used to human being on its own and not want other cats to be near it. Good luck!
listen to your husband i loathe visiting peoples houses that are overrun beside animals 2 dogs and 2 cats all pestering guests for attention is really rotten putting
If you don't plan to spend much time w/ them, then 2 is a apt idea, they can preserve each other company. But if you are wanting them to be more ethnic group oriented, next 1 is a better idea.
2 kittens! they will hang on to each other company and play together and look soo cute!! Alot of the time dogs will draw from used to the new animals and if your at home alot next u can monitor them.
I think if u own 2 dogs, u should start out with 1 kitten it will be easier to contract with and if u can feel it then travel ahead and get the other one..
We just have one, a house cat. lone wanted one at the time, as it be a first. ours is puuurfectly happy, and get plenty of companionship with of late us arround
I just get a kitten and I only get one she is fine and is soooo lively and soooo loving. But if you can afford and have the arbitrariness of two it is better so that they dont get bored

You need two, one on its own would procure really bored and if you've got 2 dogs afterwards it would be better if it had some support. Especially as you want them as house cats, im not really convinced keeping cats surrounded by is good for them but if you are going to pass it some company.
Uhh. get 2. i use to hold 2 cats and thay where mor appease b/c thay had eachother. but when thay passed away i get just one cat... and immediately he dont ever shut up... and its quite anoying.
Cats do better if in that is 2 of them. unless thay get along near the Dog really well. ( and if your going to grasp 2 Buy 2 that are like brother and sister Vice vercia.

I have two dogs and when my elderly cat died, I considered getting two cats. I ended up adopt one adult cat and it have worked out for the best I think. The more pets you give, the more mouths you have to nurture and more animals you have clamoring for your attention. I love animals and adjectives the attention, but I want to be sure that I have time to afford each animal the time it deserves. The dogs do appear to need another since they are pack animals but my one cat seem very self-contained and in good spirits being the solely one.
Also, if your husband is concerned with too tons pets, you should take his state of mind into consideration. If you decide it's Ok to make the addition of another cat later you can. Two small kittens at one time is profusely of work and a lot of disruption for your existing pets.
No cats for me one of my neighbours have a cat and it craps in like spot in my garden, digs up my flowers the smell is very bad.
When I brought my kitten home, my male kitten, 6 weeks, right away took over and faught with my womanly cat, who was 3 and have been living beside us for a year. It took another year to get them to bring back along. I think cats barney for territory similar to other animals. Depends on personality--my older cat like quiet, and my kitten is high-maintenance and loves folks, and wants attention for himself. Honestly, they would enjoy been fine minus each other! But they manner of get along very soon.
Depending if they the same sex i brought to girl kittens and they kept aggression against each other to carve their territory and wasn't nice so really newly get the 1 if i be you...
I THINK YOU'LL DO JUST FINE WITH ONE KITTEN, THEY WILL HAVE THE DOG'S FOR COMPANY. I HAD TWO CAT'S AND ONE DOG, NOW IT'S JUST ONE AND ONE AND THEY BOTH SEEM HAPPIER.
If there is other someone home during the day, you can get hold of one, but then you'll want to buy a TON of toys i.e.: scratching post, toy mice (i suggest two), jingly ball, my cat loves tennis balls, but not adjectives cats do so I'm unsure of that one, etc. Another item I would suggest it one of those tree things, the cats spend HOURS on them, and it doesn't require you to buy a bed, and sometimes a scratching post, if you return with that.
However, if you aren't home all year, then you should seize a second cat to keep it company, plus at least possible some of the things above. Then you don't have to verbs as much about it.
I agree next to you. You should get 2 so they wont consistency lonely when they don't have human company.
2 kittens are fun. Two grown cats are not. Whether dogs, cats or pet snakes, they will either hatred each other, love respectively other or constantly vie for your attention. With cats, desire generally lead to scratching and mark. With dogs, domination and submission (one will be an overt pain surrounded by the a--, the other will be a meek, timid lump) are generally the rule. If you must win two, the best of a bad situation occur when they are opposite sex. Just acquire them nuetered. The female will become the dominant but more tolerant pet. Either bearing, it's double the work/cost and, you can end up mortal the "outsider". 1 pet becomes your friend, 2 or more and you aren't as exalted.
i have two cats and two dogs. dogs are more fun than cats. cats do what they want , achieve another dog if you really want another animal they show you more attention. But remember vet bills!!
Just go look at cats. If you turn, your'e sure to come home with one.It's impossible to bestow without one! I used to enjoy one and I got another and my weak cat is much happier with a playmate.But still clear sure you give your prehistoric cat equal attention.
go to your local shelter and see who picks you out, as long as you enjoy the time, space and MONEY for 2 get 2. littermates USUALLY are the best because the USUALLY get hold of along.
If you can afford 2 of them..then obtain 2! They can grow up together and have a blast playing near eachother.
Cats who grow up together especially from a same litter usually get along in good health. The same for a kitten gradually introduced to an full-size, especially if the adult is womanly. The most difficult is introducing two adults.
So your options are clear, and getting 1 kitten first and then another kitten is fine, surrounded by my experience. And probably the most reasonable - as far as all right applies to anything "cat" :-)
Make sure that both get equal amount of attention, food, and so on, contained by order for the first cat not to discern let down. Likewise don't permit the "established" cat bully the new comer. This is why 2 from the start at a tender age is easier to order.

I presume two kittens are a lot smaller amount trouble than one. They can play with respectively other and thereby don't get up to pretty as much mischief as one bored kitten can.
if you visit some general public with kittens (try finding some that are freshly giving them away 2 a good home, thats how i get mine) if they have two brothers or sisters that are glad together then enjoy two if there is merely one then nick 1. however cats tend to enjoy man with other cats prephliby their ethnic group. if you get two cats that aren't line they might not like respectively other. hope this helps
I'd defo go and get two. That's what I did and they became best of friends. However, are you sure its a fitting idea getting them if you've already get couple of dogs, don't forget most dogs hate cats!!
