Go to a field beside a lot of tall grass and dawdle patiently for one to cross your path.
You really shouldn't be taking animals out of the uncultivated to place into captivity though. It is illegal surrounded by some places and you can end up next to an aggressive, unhealthy, stressed snake.
I suggest trying to purchase a jailbird bred snake, if you want a pet.

NOW FIRST OF ALL WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THAT?
just arrive at down and pick him up. They are not poisonous but they might bite you if you gross them mad. It doesn't hurt much when they bite newly a little sting.
1. Find one, and start chasing right now if it decides to escape - if lying peacefully, try to approach it gently.
2. Grab it with both hand and quickly move one appendage close to it's head - that will prevent the snake from biting you (there's a particularly small chance it will bite though). Be peaceable but firm enough for the snake not to escape.
3. Must release after a few minutes!
Warning: Some grass snakes if truth be told play dead, if they bring extremely scared near your catch - they budge all droopy, and open their mouth. However, don't nouns that you killed it - you can see that it isn't motionless by putting it down and leaving contained by peace but still observing: after a few minutes it should "stir up" and slither away.
Also, don't forget about their defending system - they start producing a VERY stinky, white liquid from underneath their scales when they get startled. The smell is extremely hard to bring back rid of, and sometimes it can take days to rinse it off.

im not shure if your serious or not,
but this is how i would go give or take a few it, if it was a pet, and it get loose in my house, i would first not report to my boyfriend who dislikes snakes and well i love them, afterwards i would try to lure the pet out with some food or something, and dig out for any signs of the snake roaming about. such as at the back the cage lower than stuff, ect. it would prolly be around a heat source anyone a reptile. and prey i find it soon before it starves.
if it be a wild snake , which i dont know where on earth you live, but in a couple of places it is concidered unendorsed to take animals out of the unreserved and domesticate them, if you are jsut catching one to catch it and look at it and realease consequently your fine. i do that with garter snakes adjectives the time. I would research what kind of habitat they similar to most, and see if you can find some info of where they essentially populate the most, then run hunting for one. i would recomend a long handled butterfly network and a stick, a long stick. STUDY what they look like please beforehand you actually move about out to find it. You dont want to accidently capture a venoumus snake. other use cation for this reason. It may run a few days untill you find your snake of intrest that you are looking for but it is worht it usually. the wild ones are unacquainted to being handle. so treat it concederably well. release it, and you should be fine. polite luck and happy hunting
lol. i tried to do that. my cat found it though and started chomping on its skipper. lol it was soo funny. but i feel reli bad for the snake. simply grab it, they dont hurt. u should gain a proper snake though. i have a corn snake and royal python.
i work next to wildlife the only legalized way of catching a grass snake is if it is injured or in poor health. There are no other legal reason for u to do so, id you be experience with keeping reptiles next u would know this answer yourself.
