18 weeks pregnant..?
Question: My bump sometimes gets hugely hard and nervous (it's never painful but can sometime be a bit uncomfortable) and this seem to happen when I stride. I walk an hour a morning to and from work.
Can someone explain me why this happens?
Sorry if it is a stupid interrogate but I can't the answer on any of my pregnancy books
Answers:
Braxton Hicks contractions can begin as precipitate as the second trimester, however they are most common within the third trimester. The muscles of your uterus tighten for approximately 30 to 60 seconds or as long as 2 minutes. Braxton Hicks are also call “practice contractions” because they will prepare you for the real article and you can practice the breathing exercises you are learning within your childbirth classes.
Braxton Hicks are described as:
Irregular in intensity
Infrequent
Unpredictable
Non-rhythmic
More self-conscious than painful
They do not increase within intensity, or frequency
They taper off and next disappear altogether
If your contractions are easing up in any mode, they are most likely Braxton Hicks.
probably in recent times tightening muscles really...
I'm not for sure either, but it seem like the infant is turning to the outside so your belly firms up, Its back is to the outside. Other times I own a soft belly and feel more kick and punches.
It sounds to me like a "braxton hicks" contraction, ordinary contracting of the uteris... I would call your doctor though, if it get any more often or if it become painful... It could be a symptom of untimely labor...
Is there any style you can cut down on some of the walking?? If it's only during leisure, then it might not hurt to cut down the flurry.
"braxton hicks" are not in and of themselves terrifying, they help the uteris tone and procure ready for birth... BUT... better past the worst than sorry. Talk to your Doctor!
I didn't have that ensue until a little latter I don't think, but it sounds close to a braxton hicks contration (a practice contraction) your body has to practice up to that time the big show other wise it wouldn't know what to do when it comes time. It doesn't nouns like anything to verbs about but you should mention it to your Doctor subsequent time you go and if it get painful or it tenses up frequently approaching more than a few times a day you should telephone call them and see what they want you to do.
Its not a studid question at adjectives!
You are a concerned mother to be!
I am not a qualified nurse yet! (still within uni) but i am a mother of two! and from what you say, i expect that the baby is a moment ago in a position where on earth maybe their posterior is pushing against your belly, causing you to discern the had and taut sensation. I dont feel that you own anything to be worried about and put together the most of that walking while you feel great! Its the best trimester of your pregnancy so far! Make the most of that get-up-and-go babe!
But if you feel worried or unsure, ring your midwife or gp, they will be happy to contribute help and direction to ease your mind.
Goodluck.
Your stomache is supposed to win hard. You could also be experiencing Braxton Hicks. I started my Braxton Hicks contained by my 4th month. I wouldn't worry nearly it, but if you are concerned see your doctor.
its braxton hicks can come at any time but normally not lately when walking you are at the time when it will start happening and they will grasp stronger where they start hurting and you will probably gain period close to cramps with them and they can hurt i am 36 weeks along and i am any having braxton hicks or contractions and they do hurt sometimes and obtain more tense
Defo Braxton Hicks, contained by prep for labour, I own been have them from bout 19 weeks, sometimes they are really painful and discomfited. I'm going to speak to my midwife in a couple of weeks freshly to check it out, I would say if your worried consequently do the same - thats what they are in attendance for!
Good luck x
