12 year antiquated peed on hearth rug. How can i take rid of the smell?
Question: while sleeping on the carpet, my 12 year aged neice peed herself, i hae sprayed the area near bugs away (anti bacterial spray) and also mr muscle carpet cleaner and soaked it beside water, i still cannot attain rid of the smell. how do i get rid of this smell?

For urine spots and smells: 1/2 cup white vineger and 1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide. 2 or 3 drops of dishwashing solution.

Febreze is wonderful and also make a pulp of baking soda and water and rub into the stain, when it dried vacuum it up (it will be a powder) and afterwards spray with Febreze.
For my household accident (mattresses and laundry) I use vinegar. Just spray straight vinegar on the area. It'll carry rid of smell not just cover it. I also put 1/4 cup within my laundry to get rid of sweat/boy smell. Works wonders!
