Question: Im 12 weeks 4 days pregnant i have see the baby on ultrasound and we hear the heartbeat yesterday... it was 171 on ultrasound lastmonth and yesterday on doppler it be 169 it sounds like a gallopping horse doctor said she think its a girl because the sound and illustrious rate of heartbeat level... have anyone else been told roughly this or anything we want have another ultrasound until subsequent month so i was curious... and please dont formulate any accusations we will love it wether its a boy or a girl...
Answers:
My sons heart rate be 120 the entire pregnancy (until labor).
My daughter's was contained by the 160's.
Old wives tales say aloud that the slower beat is a boy, the faster is a girl. But, if the little one is mad or upset it can speed up. And when the tot is sleeping, it can slow.
Now, my question is this, if it be true for both of my others, then what does it aim when it is consistently 140?
IT IS AN OLD TALE BUT THEY SAY IF THE BABIES HEART RATE IS 150 OR ABOVE IT IS A GIRL. BUT DO NOT GO BY THIS AS IT IS NOT TRUE ALL OF THE TIME.
I've not had children nonetheless but have loads of friends that enjoy and i've not heard that.
you definately cannot bring up to date by the heart beat.. my baby's be between 138-150 bpm.. and we were told it be gonna be a boy.. and we ended up next to a girl..
I was told a better heart rate meant a boy.
It's adjectives BS anyway. you can't tell by heart rate.
you will love "it" whether it's a boy or a girl. tsk tsk.
yes i be told that with my first child and they were wrong. my subsequent dr. told me that's not true but who knows.if you haven't be to justmommies.com please check it out.they have answers for any sound out you have and you can bring together a due date club.good luck and congrats!
Congratulations on your pregnancy - I have a little girl within December last year and the heart whitewash was alike - high - but baby's heart beat are much faster and it's a very incorrect way to determine the sex of the infant. Wait for your 21 week scan to find out - also recommend having a 3/4d scan if you can as they are amazing! Good luck.
Some inhabitants do say that roughly the heart-rate being faster surrounded by a girl, but the heart rate sounds incredibly fast anyway on adjectives the scans you hold regardless of pregnancy term or sexual characteristics of the baby! The with the sole purpose really reliable and non-invasive way to make clear to the gender back birth is via ultrasound, but even that is not 100%. Amniocentesis or basically plain old fashioned waiting to see are the one and only fool-proof ways to tell.
I own heard that the heartbeat is faster if it's a girl, but that doesn't expect it's going to be true in adjectives cases. When I was a fetus I have a slower heartbeat and my mom's OB told her I would probably be a boy. Well, guess what? I'm a girl. Just wait until your infant is developed enough and find out after.
When I was pregnant near my boy/girl twins both heart rates were surrounded by the 160-170 range. Sometimes the girl's be faster sometimes not. The rate of heartbeat is not an accurate way to give an account the sex.
My dr never told me that but I've heard on several occassions that the rate of the heartbeat can sometimes determine the sex...OLD WIVES TALE.
Congrats on the new toddler and GOOD LUCK!!
This seems close to a strange thing for a doctor to articulate as generally they prefer not to predict the sex, even at ultrasound, and almost never minus prompting from the parents. However, I found this article which seems to follow your doctor's road of thinking:

Good luck with your child, it's a wonderful time for you!
Its an old wives allegory.Just be surprised when you get your ultrasound Good Luck and here is to a bright and breezy health newborn regardless of the sex.
i've heard that its true in the region of the heartbeat determining a boy or girl. i've been told that as ably from my dr. during my first pregnancy the heartbeat stayed in the 140s-150s, be told it was probably a boy and sure plenty we confirmed that later on an ultrasound. 6 years then (different dr) i was pregnant again and the heartbeat be in the 160s-170s and be told that it was probably a girl.and that's what we have. i know theres no scientific information to prove this but its fun to guess and wonder. it was true for me...well brought-up luck and congrats
its a wives tale that a girls is faster than a boys, im 18wks pregnant n i hear the hearbeat which is considerably slower than i remember my daughters being so immediately people adjectives presume were have a little boy but it is a wives legend and were not going out to buy blues purely yet,,, be going for a private scan on the 5th next month to sex our tot!! dont rely on old wives tale, they may be usually accurate but deffo not always!
With my ultimate pregnancy, in the birth the heart rate was totally high, but towards the run out it slowed to 130-140s. When I was within the hospital before have a c-section, the heart rate was adjectives over, in the 150-160, and 120-130. So it be all over the place.we done up having a boy. I wouldn't use heart rate alone as a determine to the sex
my first had a immensely fast heartbeat, i be told that meant it be a boy, i had a son
Never hear that one.
The BPM on infants is always going to be highly developed because the strain more that we adults.
My daughters heartbeat was at 142 every time. My best friend is due any daylight with a boy and his have been right around that every time too. So in attendance is no telling. But polite luck and enjoy it!!
Oh, it's supposed to be true. And it is deeply true for some or a lot of associates, but some it's the opposite. I be hoping it was true so I know before 18 weeks if it be a boy or girl, but w/ people dictum that "rule" didn't apply I'm just going to hang around for the gender determination ultrasound. My baby's is contained by the 160's so it's "supposed" to be a girl, I guess we'll wait and see! It works and doesn't work... so I don't know!
i enjoy heard of that anecdote. dont know if its true or not i woundt think so tho,
lol, my midwife said to me i'm prob have a girl as the heart beat is incredibly fast...afterwards i went for my 20 weeks scan n be told i was havin a girl! its without fault normal 4 the heart 2 b going that nifty so dnt worry abt dat, it'll start to slow dwn by the subsequent time u hear it, but only by abt 5 or 6 bpm. i feel ur havin a girl! gd luck n dnt 4get 2 come on here n tell us what ur havin!
we be sure we were havingg a boy but our midwife said it be more likekly a girl due to the fast heartbeat, we presently have a 14 month outmoded girl, midwives seem to belive it dated wives tale or not , adjectives the best xxxxxxxxxxx
I was told the the faster it is, manner its a boy!
In reality, if the little one is moving around the the heartbeat will be higher anyway..freshly as ours is.
If it is slower..he-she is probably asleep!!
Hmmm... Ive never heard of this, until i looked on google, and it does mentoin the faster the heartbeat the superior the chance of a girl, however my infant is a boy yet (i cannot remember the exact number as it have been that long since i hear his heartbeat) however the midwife told me it was extremely fast?
Atleast you just have 8 weeks to find out! :-)
My Sister within Law was told that it would probably be a girl because the heartbeat be above 140, and she got a boy a few days ago ...conceivably she ate some chocolate before going to the docs, and that made the hearbeat run faster? who knows ...i wouldn't trust on that!@ Good Luck and Congrats on the Baby!!
i am 31`wks next to first boy. his h/b is between 150-175. so no u cant go by the heartbeat. simply be patient, you'll know soon!!
hey i am six and a partially months pregnant and was told that the lone way to let somebody know if it is a boy or girl is ultra sound and even next you have to hope they will update you. Hope that helps
when i be having my first babe-in-arms i was told by my midwife i be having a girl due to heart rate individual high i be 36 weeks pregnant at the time and my 20 week scan had already said i be having a boy (and when he be born his bits said he was defo boy lol) so i would not use it as a reliable source i would only take it as a bit of fun resembling the Chinese gender predictors well brought-up luck with the rest of your pregnancy
