[.sammiej.] Maths Question, please facilitate!!!?

Question:
How would i calculate the volume of metal surrounded by a pipe which has a bore (central diameter) of 120mm, a wall compactness of 9mm and a length of 12m.

Thanks so much!

Answers:
Internal dia = 120mm
External dia = 120 + 9 + 9 = 138 mm

Surface area = pi(138+120)(138-120) = 14589 sq mm
or 0.014589 sq m
Multiply by 12 (The length) =

0.175 cu metres.
120mm x pie that x 9mm divided by 12mm
