Well I'll start by unfolding you that a microorganism is just any organism that's too small to be see by the naked human eye. Although most folks think of microscopic as single celled, here is some single celled protists visible by the human eye, and some multicellular organisms that are not.
Microorganisms can be microbes, fungi, archaea or eukaryote's.
Microorganisms however, cannot be things such as virii (plural for virus) because they are not living, they're just RNA in a protein coat.
Bacteria - Bacterium are unicellular organisms that live within almost every environment and habitat on the planet. They come in heaps shapes including spheres, rods and spirals.
Fungi - Although they are classified as eukaryotes, they get their own category here. heterotrophic and digest their food externally, absorbing nutrient molecules into their cell. This means they grasp food from other organisms, not the sun ^^
Archaea - Single-celled organisms that dont have nucleus and are therefore prokaryotes. Scientists once beleived they be only found surrounded by the extremes, but further researched revealed that they were found almost as adjectives as bacteria.
Eukaryote - This group is made up of organisms next to cell nucleus' and is a multi-cellular branch of the microorganisms.
