17 comes subsequent - they increase by 7, then 5, next 3, so it has it increase from 16 by 1 i.e. 17

1, 8, 13, 16, 17, 16, 13, 8, 1..i think. But i dnt know in the order of the other one.
For the first question...7, 5, 3, 1 and so on. The number appear to be decreasing by the subsequent negative number.
As for the second ask...I have no impression!

1 + 7 = 8
8 + 5 = 13
13 + 3 = 16
16 + 1 = 17
17 + -1 = 16
17 then 24 for the first set of numbers because it is plus one later plus 7 plus 5 plus 3 plus 1 plus 7 plus 5 and so on

Other people hold already answered re the pattern surrounded by primary numbers - 7, 5, 3, 1 etc. As to the 2nd part, what something like 20 + 8 = 29 + 40 =77 +8 = 85 + 40 = 125 etc. Or 77 + 16 (2x8) = 93 + 80 (2x40) = 173. It depends what you are studying at the mo as to what the pattern is expected to be, ie primary numbers etc.
