100gms of sugar within 500mls of dampen, what would the mass be? how do you work it out.?
Question:
Answers:
the sg of water is 1 so 500mls of dampen is 500g
1ml weighs 1 gram so the combined mass is 600grams
1ml of hose = 1gm, so
500ml = 500gr
500gr of water + 100gr of sugar= 600gr
1ml of distilled marine was taken as weigh 1gm; most tap marine weighs roughly 1gm. So your recipe above have an approximate "weight", or more correctly mass, of 100gms +500gms = 600gms.
1g roughly equals 1ml
hence 500g + 100g = 600g :)
Are you asking if the sugar dissolves in the river without increasing the volume. As far as I can report to using kitchen equipment it does not appear to affect the volume.
1 litre of water weigh 1000g
1/2 litre weighs 500g
So next to the sugar it would weigh..can you work it out?
600g or 0.6kg
600g
by the way, the short form of gram(s) is g not gms and the short form of millilitre(s) is ml not mls, a short time ago so you know.
If it's pure water after, as 1 ml = 1 gm, 500 ml = 500 gm.
Plus 100 gm sugar = 500 + 100 = 600 gm
sticky mess
