i agree with you. i travel over from ireland as habitually as i can. usually about 6 or 7 times work permit. last season after the man utd --man city derby my son & i be talking to a man city season ticket holder who held matching view he lived close at hand old trafford & truly knew pretty a few [so called fans] who with the sole purpose presented themselves as man utd fans after our 99 treble win we are better stale without them

This is bias ... but one piece you've got to vote about Man Utd (even when they be in the weak second division back surrounded by 76-77) is that they've always have a massive support. Unlike Chelsea, who averaged gates of freshly 6000 when they were surrounded by the old second division rear legs in 1989.

I'm hoping Roma beats them. Could effort less any way, I'm American, we're not born into what squad we cheer for, I just keep under surveillance because the guys are amazing athletes and I've been watching basketball, baseball, and football for 24 years presently and it is getting boring.

As a Man Utd is an english team, and they where on earth playing in the european final, most english ppl should infact be at least possible supporting united to win that spectator sport. Therefore all these plebs u bargain about will at least possible have be cheering on an english team. :)

These people you mention are not football fan but glory hunters.They have a wardrobe full of frail football shirts from whoever is at the top at any given moment.they are easily spotted when nearby ( team ? ) score a goal they cheer but not beside passion.
If this does come up (and at least it will be close on a UK team), I am sure that abundant red& white plus blue shirts will be going back into the cupboard!

Perhaps from kids, which is understandable. They look at team winning trophies and believe, I want to be like them etc, but they will also gain more haters. Man U hold always have a huge fan underside anyway and it has steadily grown over the years. It be not instantaneous.
