About Istanbul?

Question:
What do you think in the order of Istanbul? I know traffic is a mess but if there's anyone who visited here, I purely want to know your opinions

Answers:
Istanbul is exotic, fun, muddled, busy, but full of unsafe areas for a woman travelling on her own. I went in attendance with my hubby years ago, and most of the Turkish men simply followed us everywhere, to the point that my usually laid-back hubby nearly lost his tablecloth with one of them!

Go contained by group and beware the touts who try to sell you anything and everything! But at hand are also many friendly folks who will invite you surrounded by for some apple tea and turkish delight. Have fun!
if it's similar to the rest of turkey it will be full of men oggling the western woman and trying to sleep with your daughter.one of the most uncivillised places iv'e ever visit.
But it is a city of 15 millions, it is natural...When someone visit Istanbul, doeant have the time to discern the traffic, because he is amazed of its beauty...
I've be twice. It's a fascinating introduction to the Muslim world. There is like mad to see including the Topkopi Palace, Sultan's Palace (best ive seen anywhere), Blue Mosque and much more. Its a blend of west and east and as a moderate Muslim culture you should do okay.
It's not Constantinople?
i loved it when i went - will def budge again. so much fab architecture - Sinan's work - the suleymania, blue mosque, as well as the topkapi palace, hagia sophia etc etc. sailing down the bosphorous and seeing adjectives the fab palaces.
as long as you dress respectably you should be fine. the covered market is all right worth a visit.
intuitively i loved it, i found the people respectful and friendly and the full place just really chilled and laid stern.

I've only be there on a business trip for 3 days a few years ago, so get stuck in the bureau quite a bit.
I did stride between hotel & office (a flawless 15 mins walk), so did see a little bit of that extraordinary area and thought it be lovely. I also had my Turkish colleague taking me around slightly a bit, and I really liked it near. Nice food etc. (my colleague obviously know where to stir, which helps, of course).
Unfortunately, I didn't go and get to see the Asian part of the city on the other side of the Bosphorus, but apparently, it's relatively different from the European side. I'd definitely run there again to call round it properly...
Istanbul is chaotic, but it have beautiful mosques and ancient Roman and Early Christian buildings and ruins that are really worth a pop in. I went next to another woman, and really was not bothered so much by the men, compared to Greece (much worse), North Africa or even Southern Italy.
I really enjoy the food and pastries, too.
If you are used to living in a small town surrounded by the Midwest, watch out! If you live surrounded by NYC or Miami, no problem...
istanbul is the most beautiful city surrounded by world.. and yes its ISTANBUL.

*I know traffic is a mess surrounded by istanbul but only at specific time.by the passageway six or seven years ago, traffic in Istanbul is horrifying,i mean really really grim.you had to hang around hours.but now within is no serious traffic problems in Istanbul.
*History. That's construct Istanbul so different from other cities. It has Roman,Byzantine, greek and ottoman works.Like Hagia Sophia,Sultanahmet Camii,The obelisk,Topkapi Palaca,Blue Mosk, The BasilicaCistern... and more.

Istanbul is a combination of East and West. You can still hear loveable, hoary and historical music while you are walking on the streets of Sultanahmet.

I must concede, there are profoundly of disturbing people surrounded by Istanbul because there are seriously of people surrounded by istanbul who came from different parts of Turkey. Some of them especially if you are within a turistic place, they will call you "my friend" and try to put up for sale you unnecessary things, don't stop until you go far away from him :D and also some those just sit and study other people nevermind if she is a local entity or tourist.

Of course only a small amount of associates in Istanbul are similar to them. What's more there are closely of places there to hold a drink or fun.You can go to Nevizade,i must insist, you should travel there.

ok,i come up with i wrote too much :D i will finish. Is Istanbul city to live?

istanbul is a distinctive metropol that is placed on two different continentals!

it's culture is also stimulating! The perfect mix of ancient Byzantine and Ottoman Culture.really close to no other.

There are lot of historical places like Dolmabahce Palace,Topkapi Palace,Blue Mosque,Yerebatan Basilica.
and big shopping malls to shop and hold fun like Cevahir (the Europe's no:1 biggest one),Metrocity,Kanyon,Akmerkez...

Traffic is not a big concord when you use subways and tramways.
